When vata is weak in the core, especially in the seat where Vata resides, she might find it difficult to "drop the shoulders" as requested by the yoga teachers.
The shoulders are lifting her up, where she would otherwise slump and lose integrity.
So try the instruction in two parts, where Vata is at play.
- Check in with your pelvic floor and place attention there to stabilise it.
- Observe to see whether the shoulders naturally organised themselves. If not, repeat Step 1 again.
