Feel the temperature
If your stomach/abdomen feels cool to touch around meal time your diegstive fire may not be stoked high enough. Using a hot water bottle before a meal or even after can ease bloating and hardness. This can feel better for some folks that don't like to take pills/herbs.
If it feels too hot, putting coconut oil on the area daily or aloe vera gel can help.
It's always a good habit to gently rub your belly clockwise. It regulates samana vayu - the air (vata sub dosha) that regulates absorption.
