The possibility of Trump-ism in your quest for Dharma
USA I desperately want to make you happy.
There is a brilliant cartoonist that lives around my way called Michael Leunig, who is kind of famous here in Australia. He has been contributing to local papers for a really long time. I buy his birthday cards for everyone I know. Someone in my town told me he suffered from depression. Interesting comment to make. I don't actually know if this is true. And it's not important and it is.
He has this way, a wway of “dark-crystallising” everything, meaning he doesn't opt for good over evil, he puts them both in the same pot and, as Dr Vasant Lad says when he talks about bad food combinations, they learn to get along.
I was getting wrapped up in the drama because it kind of brought us together. But it wasn't a sustainable bond, it was based on the same emotions that caused a rise in the emperor with no clothes.
Can you see the Trump rise of energy as a propulsion? All those folks that want to make good things and see the positive in the world - can you use this rise up of passion to finally do the things you've been putting off?
And what if?
What if the collective cultivated their prana so big and wide and immense that it could affect those around them? What if instead of focusing on him, we focused on building our own preventative wall of immunity to deflect against the aggression?
Now imagine this.
Imagine that the propulsive energy that has been created in the world is nothing but an opportunity for you to live your Dharma. Imagine if this dark night produces some of the greatest artists of our time.
Red is made up of fire and ether. It is pungent. It is intense and extroverted and punchy. It grabs you and makes you pay attention. It is stimulating to sexual passion and sharpens the mind. It can also agitate the mind and can lead those that have enough fire in their system, to critical speech, right and wrong thinking, my way or the highway buddy!
Blue is air and ether. It is dry and light, cold and bitter. Blue is a reducing colour, it makes you go inward, it cools inflammation and tempers a raging sea of blood. It dries up phlegm and clears obstructions but long term use can increase fear and anxiety. It's use in spirituality can promote detachment, contemplation and meditation.
So it depends on what you need, it's a balancing act.
Purple is a combination of red and blue. If you google purple it is considered a spiritual colour. Here's some notes from the web -
purple is associated with nobility and power
it is used to inspire us and motivate us to put our creativity into action
it has the shortest wave and highest vibrational frequency
reversing curses and counteracting negativity
It is the role of the artist to twist things. The rise of science and art is coming. Yogananda Paramahamsa said in his book "Autobiography of a Yogi" that the world will only end if there is only good or only evil.
Until then, we should all start wearing purple (cue music).
