Wear your relaxation

I like light blue in Summer. I think it's lovely to look at. All too often Summer opens itself up to losing the clothing and skimp-afying everything. I say why, why can't we refine the Summer heat into elegance. It's the attitude anyways .

Whom the Gods love die young

Oh the fallen artist with their talents of entertainment, bringing the world of neverland to our mundane lives. Oh the sensitivity that is too much for this earthly plane. The lives of those that burst into flames, just way too young to die.

But dying comes in different forms and perhaps the lessons of those that live life so bright are here to not only teach us to seek our unique expression but to shed ourselves to the point of surrender

The feminine curves celebrated in this angry violent world

Follow the Ayurvedic principles that apply to you and it seems impossible to not soften. The whole anti aging idea is to keep the rasa, or juice, alive and moving. It's this juice that adds a feeling of moistness to the skin, allows prana to flow freely through the body to reach all the cells. It lubricates joints and keeps the eyes glossy and clear.

The feminine ideal has been butchered in a violent world.

How are you going to choose who will help you heal?

The definition of common sense means sound judgement in practical matters. Let's call practical matters your state of health.

Working as a conduit in health, and by that I mean passing on information that occurs to me through the stored knowledge base as well as voicing things I didn't realise I knew, I personally feel one thing as a truth - if I'm not doing the inner work my ability to be of service will not be as effective.

Woman. I hereby give you permission.

I watched that little snippet from the new Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, when asked why he was conscious of having an equal gender based cabinet and his very fucking cool answer was "because it's 2015".

Hooray.  But then,I thought, wait a minute...

This is how it's been.  This is what I see when I go to yoga schools and listen to the analysis of the scriptures..

The sense depravation of Ayurvedic articles

How can you light up your imagination without the use of your olfactory? To me it seems like it's the foundational piece of the sense factory - the bricks and mortar - the stage set from which to play. I engage with you visually and my words have the ability to bring the story to life. We claim in Ayurveda that we treat the individual and not the disease and yet we write for the cold hard facts and not invite the experience.

Are you hungry? No? I'll just wait....

I do this trick all the time. If I'm with a friend and want to align our appetites, I ask them if they're hungry, talk about what I would like to eat and then wait.....it usually takes about 20 minutes.

And here is a study to prove it. It claims that although sight and smell were significant in increasing gastric juices in preparation for digestion, it seems the thought of food was stronger.

What's the dosha of your radio show?

I'm eaaaaasing into the morning because I taught myself to do it. I taught myself to be slow because my natural pace is GO GO GO. And I haven't had constipation since and my digestion is better and I generally feel more relaxed when the first client walks in the door. Yes I found my rhythm - you can click to it, it's so in tune.

I find the radio music in the am quite lovely. I could listen to my own music I guess but there is something that makes you feel connected to the outside world with the radio - like you're on the same waves as your community.

Anyone for tennis (ayurveda style)?

What's your counterattack? How are you going to position yourself when you've lost your footing or just feel too tired to play the game? What if the plan of attack fails mid way, how will you keep up with your opponent? How will you figure out a defense?

It's a really good thing to be preventative. Being preventative is a lot easier when you know yourself and your tendencies and have a framework to put them in. That's when you become the chef de cuisine..
